Course Description

The Level 1 Holiday Workshop is a two-day short course designed to give children a fun, practical, and well-structured woodworking experience during the school holidays. The workshop places strong emphasis on hands-on activity in a supervised environment, providing learners with a positive and constructive outlet for their energy while school is out. Participants are introduced to the safe and correct use of basic hand tools and selected power tools through guided, age-appropriate tasks. Over the course of the program, each learner completes a single project from start to finish, allowing them to experience the full process of planning, building, and finishing a wooden item. The workshop is intended as an introductory exposure to woodworking that balances skill development with enjoyment, encouraging focus, creativity, and productive engagement during the holiday period.
